Chris Pouras joined the firm in 2021. He comes with over 20 years of experience in investment banking, financial markets, stockbroking and wealth management. In addition to his experience gained in banking and finance, he has owned and managed his own small hospitality business.
After commencing his career in futures and commodities trading in Sydney, he later spent time working in fixed-income dealing, where he assisted in creating and overseeing risk management strategies for institutional bond portfolio managers. Chris spent 10 years working in Sydney for a number of international investment banks before returning to Adelaide whereupon he commenced the next phase of his career in finance, working in stockbroking and private client wealth management. His clients included high net worth individuals, family offices, charitable trusts, small fund managers, and superannuation funds.
In 2017, Chris returned to university to fulfil his lifelong ambition to obtain a law degree, which he completed in 2020. He is currently completing the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and will then be admitted as a barrister and solicitor.
Chris has a passion for helping clients. Focusing on obtaining the best possible result, Chris has always maintained an empathetic approach and a strong service ethic by taking the time to understand his clients’ needs and create solutions tailored specifically to their circumstances – something he looks forward to continuing as a legal practitioner.
